Price going up for 7aside soccer

Hey Gang, 

We've been informed by the city that we have a new $600 fee to pay.  So I'm going to have to raise the fee to $90 for the season.  Anyone that Registers before 9am on May 2nd will get the $80 rate.  After that it will be $90 for the Season.   Sorry for the late notice but I just found out about it.

If you know anyone that is thinking about joining, please let me know.

Registration for the 2019 7aside Soccer Season is Open

Hi Everybody!

Registration is now Open for our 2019 season.   Thanks to the increased generosity of our sponsors we are able to to keep the fees for this year's membership to $80.

We have a couple unique opportunities for you to make an easy $40 and help out 7aside soccer.

We have asked for more playing time on Cowan field (Turf) this season.  As of right now we are slotted in for September and October.  Rosterbot has been loaded with this year's schedule and will be updated with the field changes as they occur. 

The Payment Page for paying online has been updated.  Our website now has a cart.  Please let us know if you have any issues.  We still take credit card payments at the field and email money transfers to 7asidesoccer@gmail.com

Game Night May 31st - Are you in?

Great turnout last week!

Let's keep it going this week and maybe even get to 28 players so we can have 2 games! 

Please let us know if you can't make it this week.

Since I forgot to send this out at the beginning of the season.  Here's the Rules and Guidelines for 7asidesoccer.

  • Non-Contact soccer.  
  • There are no offsides.
  • Be honest - Each team calls their own penalties     (ex. hand ball).
  • No slide tackles.
  • No aggressive behaviour or demeaning comments.
  • Use your body but not arms or hands to shield the ball.
  • No set goalie (everyone is encouraged to take a turn).
  • Involve all players (pass to everyone). Everyone pays the same fee and is entitled to equal play.
  • Substitutions may be required.  Take your turn, whether you need a break or not.
  • If teams are uneven, captains or their designates can trade players for that night to ensure equal teams.
  • We play rain or shine.  Games may be called/delayed due to lightning.
  • Cleats and Shin Pads are required.
  • PLAY SAFE - no one wants an injury.
  • If you are concerned about a safety issue, let us know immediately, so it can be resolved quickly.
  • Suggestions, ideas and future help in running the club are appreciated.

2017 Season only 10 days away

Hi Everyone, 

We'll be starting the 2017 season on May 17th on our regular field.

Our Registration isn't full yet, so if you have some friends that are looking for a fun and friendly atmosphere, please invite them out to give it a try.

Please remember that Cleats and Shin Pads are mandatory for our insurance and your safety.

We're busy preparing for the 2017 7aside Soccer season.  We are sponsored this year by Boar's Head, MTE Consultants, DigiPak and Flex Physiotherapy.  Please support them if you can.

Good News!  The SSA has installed a new artificial turf field.  We are hopeful that we'll be able to play under the lights in September.  Nothing is confirmed as of yet.  Right now our scheduled start date is May 17th and our last night is Sept. 27th on the same field as last year.

Due to increased costs, it will be $80 to play this season.  

Please Register if you plan to play this season.

Fwd: YES - We do play in the Rain!


Hi Everyone, 

I've had a couple email and ask about the rain. 

From our FAQ page 

  • What if it is raining?
  • Soccer is played rain or shine.  We do not play in Thunderstorms or if there is lightning.  Often times a storm will pass and we will delay start or continue after it passes.

Only a couple people have said that they can't make it tonight so we're expecting a good turnout.

I wish I could be there.

First game this week!

Hi Everyone, 

Our first game this season is on Wednesday!  Kick-Off at 6:45pm

Let us know if you can't make it this week or any week.

Please remember to wear cleats and shin pads, they are required for our insurance and you cannot play without them.

If you are paying at the pitch, try and arrive a little early.  

We are still looking for more new players, so feel free to bring some people out to give it a try!
